Slabs of Rocky Butte picture jasper are from one of the most colorful picture rocks. Colors of the Rocky Butte picture jasper from Oregon may contain reddish orange, green, yellow-gold, tan and or possibly blue. Some of the areas on the slab look scenic with buttes and other color patterns are intricate and unique. The picture jasper material is reminiscent of the popular original Owyhee picture jasper also from Oregon. Remember, each slab order will contain a minimum of five square inches or approximately 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". Slabs have been very solid, but some may contain a few fractures to work around. How to determine fractures in a slab: wet the slab, then wipe it partially dry and hold the slab in line of sight with a light. Moisture should remain in any fractures, and should be noticed as an area to avoid while marking your slab with a template pattern. Stock 600s.
