Moonstone, “WY Opal” nodules

Description

Moonstone or Wyoming opal nodules are approximate 1″ to 1 1/2″” long and weigh 1-2 ounces or a little more. These were from a rock shop doing business back in the 50”s which we purchased in the 80″”s. We have just a small amount of this pale green to gray colored chalcedony with a thin layer of white opal covered by a chalky coating. Moonstone from Wyoming will fluoresce a beautiful green under an ultraviolet short wave lamp. These are rare and sell for $7 each per sample.(stock #810)
