Tigereye has a chatoyant luster and makes a beautiful polished stone. (Stock 420) This variety is variegated No. 1 from Africa which will be blue and gold in the same rough material. For slabbing, place your rock in the vise as shown with the fibrous structure or parallel inclusions running up and down or parallel with the saw blade to accentuate the chatoyantcy when polished. The height of the stone runs from 1 1/4″ up to 2″ plus. Sizes of the variegated tigereye will run from 1/4 pound up to one pound and a half or so each. This is rare, old stock material.
