SKU: nosku45 Category:

Instructions on how to use Vibra-Dry + (R) polish mix are compliments of Diamond Pacific Tool Corp. The Vibra-Dry + mixes are formulated for the pre-polish and final polishing steps in processing stones and metals.  They were designed for use in vibratory tumblers, and are not recommended for use in rotary or barrel type tumblers. INSTRUCTIONS: 1.  Clean stones and tumbler and let dry.  Vibra-Dry + mixes do not need moisture as they contain special lubricants.  Do make certain your stones and tumbler bowl are free of all grit from previous operations. 2. Add Vibra-Dry to the hopper.  Fill hopper one half to three quarters full of Vibra-Dry. 3. Add your stones and run your tumbler for the time required to complete the step you are working on. 4. Separate the stones from the Vibra-Dry and return the Vibra-Dry to it”s container as it is reusuable several times over. 5. Wash your stones with soap and water and dry them. Proceed to the next Vibra-Dry grit sequence and finish as before. 6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for as many Vibra-Dry grits as needed. In the past steel shot had been used in the process of using the Vibra-Dry, but the company and customers discovered the Vibra-Dry works just fine without steel shot. The steel shot has now been discontinued. If you have steel shot from a previous order, it is not recommended for polishing pearls, you should take the stainless steel shot out of the Vibra-Dry + mix before using. If polishing loose diamonds, you must polish only one at a time. Some examples of Vibra-Dry sequences for particular applications are as follows: Turquoise nuggets: 600  grit for 24 hours, 14,000 grit for 24 hours, 50,000 grit for 24 hours. Finished stones in mounting: 25,000 grit for 24 hours, 50,000 grit for 24-48 hours.  Amber nuggets: 600 grit for 24 hours, 3,000 grit for 24 hours, 50,000 grit for 24 to 48 hours.  Gold and Silver jewelry: 25,000 grit for 24 hours, 50,000 grit for 24 hours.
