Normal Shipping Options and Return Policy

Normal shipping options are via FedEx and the United States Postal Service. For large or heavy equipment you will be notified of the trucking fee and with your approval of freight charges and payment of such, your order then will be shipped.  Orders from Canada are usually via the USA postal services, with Priority mail with the possibility of flat rate mail services and heavy items will ship via trucking.  We will package items in the most economical package. The web site host may only state USPS Priority mail, but we will use from small, medium or large flat rate boxes depending on the items you request, giving you a savings if possible. If you are using a credit card for payment, & a refund is due, it will be refunded as quickly as possible. If you are using a PayPal account your refund will be refunded to your PayPal account. If you do not have a PayPal account, a refund check will be sent to you. Thank you very much!

Our refund policy: please return any unsatisfactory merchandise freight paid, insured, and material returned unaltered and within 10 days of receipt. We do not allow high grading of material purchased. For example, you may have ordered 10 lbs. of one material, but only want to keep 2 lbs. or so.  Please return the 10 lbs.  You need to pay for the return freight of any items you want to return, and a refund will be returned as soon as the products  have been returned to us. Equipment from our  lapidary equipment suppliers, must be notified if there is a problem. Please notify us of your intention to return any items, so we can be looking for the return. Check your shipment carefully to see that it is in good order when it arrives. If a carton arrives in bad condition, have the truck driver make notation of this fact on the freight bill or receipt, and have him sign it. Loss or damage must be reported to the delivering carrier as soon as possible, with all goods, containers & packing materials in the exact condition as found for the inspection by the carrier. The inspector will issue a report which you will need a copy of to support your claim. Also notify us and the shipper as soon as possible, such as Stone Age Industries, or from our suppliers who may be drop shipping items to you such as: Covington Engineering Corp., Diamond Pacific Tool Corp, MK Diamond Products,  Thumler’s Tumblers or other. Once you accept delivery of the goods, the responsibility for filing a claim for damage, if any is yours. Failure to properly report loss or damage is generally regarded as indicating complete delivery of freight in good condition. Filing a claim: Make your claim promptly, and obtain the forms from the carrier. We do NOT guarantee safe delivery. This is the carriers responsibility. Return of Machines for repair: You must first secure authorization from the manufacturer. We will do our best to help if possible, just give us a call. We look forward to being of service!  Please note, many of you are using USPS: Retail Ground/Parcel Select Ground, for  your shipping charge. Sorry we just learned insurance will have to be added just in case anything gets damaged in shipping  the item to you.  Insurance is not automatically added as otherUSPS flat rate boxes, and or priority shipping. Hope you understand, the customer receiving the item or Stone Age Industries will not receive any insurance  for damaged goods if insurance is not paid when you use Retail Ground, or Parcel Post Shipping.  Thank you!
