Description

Galaxy Hex/diamond grinding wheels give fast, cool cutting efficiency of diamonds, plus a smooth, true-running surface that never needs dressing.  Please note: due to the many different wheel sizes and or grit sizes available, these items must be added by telephone or by e-mail notification to your order. They can be ordered separately, or added on to an order being placed.  A confirmation of any additions as to the price and additional freight charge will be approved by you, before the order is shipped.

The diamonds are held on a heavy steel ring by an extremely hard, nickel alloy plating for durability.  The ring is mounted on a tough glass-filled polyester core, making Galaxies a smooth, quiet running wheel.  Galaxy diamond wheels are clean to use and because they don”t wear away as silicon carbide wheels do, you  do not get the mess.  You only need a small amount of water to keep the wheels and your stone wet and cool, and to keep down the rock dust.  Galaxy wheels have 1″ arbor holes, and no longer come supplied with bushings.  (Bushings may be ordered separately:  Part No. 101-WB-34 a 3/4″ bushing, sells for $3.00, or #101-WB-44 a 1″ bushing, sells for $3.00.  The two, four and six inch Galaxy Wheels take one 1″ bushing.  The 7 5/8″ Galaxy Wheel takes two 3/4″ bushings.)

Standard Galaxy Wheels come in four sizes: 2 3/8″ x 1 1/8″; 4″ x 1 1/4″; 6″ x 1 1/2″, or 7 5/8″ x 1 1/2″. Note the hex/diamond shaped interrupted pattern of the Hex Wheels for the 80, 60, and 30 grit sizes makes them the coarsest, fastest grinding wheels available. Grit size and wheel price in order of the smallest to the largest Galaxy wheel are as follows: Fine 600:$90, $115, $150, & $190. Fine 360: $90, $115, $150, & $190.00. Fine 220: $90, $115, $150 & $190. Med. Fine 180, $95, $125, $165, & $210. Med. Fine 120: $100, $135, $180. & $230. Course 100: $105, $145, $195,& $250. Course 80: $110, $160, $210, $275. Coarse 60: $115, $170, $225, & $295. Rough 80 Hex: $160, $230, $295. & $380. Rough 60 Hex: $190, $285, $360, & $460. Rough 30 Hex: $250, $370, $475, & $610.
