Description
A sample slab of spider jasper from Mexico will contain five each one inch squares. This unique gemstone is reddish brown with crystals throughout the rough in small star or spider designs about 1/2 inch across. The different hardness of the two materials make for an interesting polished cabochon. Polishing procedures using diamond give nice results.
