Description
The tule is a polished, agatized fossil, which was a gift back in the 60”s from family and was reported to be from the Needles area. Another individual reports it could be fossilized giant cattails Typha. The piece weighs 8 plus pounds, and approximate measurements are 13″ x 5 1/2″ x 3″. It has an excellent polish from a Rociprolap. This rare stone, if indeed cattails Typha, would be of Miocene era, & 19 million years old.
