Iron pyrite, “fool”s gold

Description

Iron pyrite or “”fool”s gold”” are small chunks of top quality minerals measuring approximately from three quarters up to one inch across.  Children will be thrilled to find these mineral specimens on their next camping trip planted in water or on dry land. Students will get excited and history and the “”Gold Rush”” days will come alive by using these at a gold panning demonstrations instead of gold painted rocks or give the kids a sample of iron pyrite when the gold panning practice is over.
