Pyrite suns, IL

Description

Pyrite suns are from Sparta, IL.  They are found in the coal mines of Sparta, on top of coal veins.  The suns are dated to approximately 350 millions years.  These beautiful pyrite mineral treasures sparkle like real gold, and are in very good condition.  They average approximately 3 inches across, and are usually either circular or an irregular oval shape with metallic striations from the center.  Read more about them on the web.  Stock #1033
